The foundation supports medical research as well as research related to devices and methods in engineering and natural sciences, including associated health economics. It awards funding annually to companies that combine strong science with a credible path toward application.
According to Petri Bono, Chair of the Board of the Instrumentarium Science Foundation, the foundation aims to safeguard Finnish research and support the long-term success of Finnish top-level science and technology.
