Solid IO privacy policy

Solid IO (referred to as “we” or “us”) processes personal data collected from our contacts, customers, service providers and partners (each individual referred to as “you” and “your”). This data is used for purposes including sending newsletters, event invitations, marketing communications and for maintaining customer relationships with both current and potential customers. We only collect and process data that is relevant and necessary. All processing is carried out in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for processing personal data is either your consent or our legitimate interest, or that of a third party. Examples of legitimate interest include utilising data for communication and marketing, fraud prevention, IT security and intra-group transfers.

We may collect the following data from you:

  • Telephone number
Disclosure of your personal data 

Personal data is typically collected from via an online form. We may also gather data through emails and agreements or during events and meetings.  

Information security

We employ a range of administrative, organisational, technical and physical safeguards to protect the personal data we collect and process. These security measures are designed to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the data. We do not maintain any personal data manually.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Once the data is no longer required, we will delete it or anonymise it unless we are legally obligation to retain it for longer period.

Recipients of personal data

We do not share your personal data with third parties unless one of the following applies:

  • Legal requirements: We may disclose personal data to third parties when it is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations or court orders, or to address security or crime-related issues.
  • Authorised service providers: We may share your personal data with authorised service providers who perform services on our behalf and act as our data processors. Our agreement with such service providers will ensure that they only use your personal data as necessary and comply with privacy and security standards equivalent to those outlined in this Privacy Policy.
  • Your explicit consent: We may share your personal data with third parties if you have explicitly consented to such sharing. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
International data transfers

We do not transfer personal data outside of EU or ETA.

Your rights

You have right to:

  • Access the personal data processed by us.
  • Withdraw your consent to our processing.
  • Have incorrect, outdated or unnecessary data corrected.
  • Ask us to delete your personal data from our systems.
  • Restrict processing of your personal data.
  • Object to the legal basis on which we process your personal data.
  • Receive your personal data in a structured and commonly used format.

 

If you wish to exercise your legal rights please submit your request in writing. We may request you to specify your request and to verify your identity before processing your request.

Complaints

You are within your rights to submit an appeal to Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (www.tietosuoja.fi).
